Job Description:

The Assistant/Associate Director of Admissions will be the point person for all campus
admission events including but not limited to Open House, Revisit Days, Information
Sessions, International Agency Visits, Educational Consultants, Feeder School
Counselor visits etc.


General Responsibilities


  •  Create and implement event plans to maximize the on campus visit experience for

prospective students and their families.

  •  Work with the Admission Team to identify new and responsive approaches for

recruitment events.

  •  Work with the Director of Admissions and the Director of Marketing to create

effective promotion plans for on campus events.

  •  Support a caseload of students and families through the entire admission and

enrollment process and in their transition from applicants to fully enrolled
community members.

  •  Conduct information sessions/interviews with applicants and their

parents/guardians.

  •  Read applicant files and serve as a member of the Admissions Committee.
  •  Utilize Blackbaud’s Enrollment Management platform to manage records and

coordinate steps of the admissions process within established deadlines.

  •  Serve as a liaison for one or more departments on campus to ensure a strong

exchange of information is maintained.

  •  Help develop data-driven recruitment strategies using Blackbaud and other data

sources to evaluate markets, trends, and opportunities.

  •  Travel domestically and internationally for up to two weeks per year in support of

recruitment and enrollment efforts.

  •  Ability to work nights and weekends at certain times of the year to support the

needs of the admissions office.

  •  Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, counseling, event management or related field.
  • 2-5 years of secondary or higher education admissions experience or event planning with progressive responsibility.
  • Experience in international recruitment especially with international agency development, credential review, and the F-1 visa process is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent written communication skills (a writing sample may be requested)
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills, and ability to tend to many different tasks and duties simultaneously
